Eunice State Bank - Organized June 1, 1901

Building constructed on the corner of Walnut and 2nd Street in 1902.

Officers:  Louis Mayer - President; Gustave Fuselier - Vice President; Jamess J. Lewis - Cashier; J. L. Lacombe - Asst Cashier

Board of Directors:  Louis Mayer, Dr. M. D. Lewis; Andrew Wilfert, Herman Well, Gustave Fuselier, Dr. Julius J. Stagg S. A. Gournay W. E. Lawson and James J. Lewis


The First National Bank Of Eunice in Louisiana printed $128,550 dollars worth of national currency until 1919.  

The breakdown of notes issued

700 sheets of $10 series 1902 red seal national bank notes.

700 sheets of $20 series1902 red seal national bank notes.
  
1,871 sheets of $10 series 1902 blue seal national bank notes. 

1,871 sheets of $20 series1902 blue seal national bank notes.



 An example of a blue seal bank note.  This one was issued by the First National Bank of Morgan City, Louisiana.  

The building is still there and over the decades it has housed a number of businesses.
